1. Thai Turkey Bowls
This is definitely a favorite in our household. It is delicious and budget-friendly. I make it when I am in a hurry and don’t want to make a huge mess in the kitchen.
What you’ll need:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- Jasmine rice
- 1 can of green beans
- sweet chili sauce
- soy sauce
- crispy fried onions
Directions:
- Cook your jasmine rice
- Brown your ground turkey
- Once your turkey is cooked, add in 1/4 cup of soy sauce and 1/4 cup of sweet chili sauce (you can add more or less to your liking)
- Pour your can of green beans into your turkey mixture
- Once your rice is cooked you can start building your bowl by layering your rice, turkey, and green bean mixture
- Top with crispy fried onions and more sweet chili sauce to your liking
2. Chicken Casserole
This recipe was passed down to me by my mom so I grew up eating it. It is just one of those comfort meals that never get old.
What you’ll need:
- Chicken (I used chicken tenders, but you can use chicken breast if that is what you prefer)
- 2 cans of cream of chicken
- 8 oz sour cream
- Ritz crackers
- Butter
Directions:
- Pre heat oven to 350 degrees
- Boil chicken until cooked throughly
- Get a casserole dish (I use a glass 9×13 in) and shred your chicken
- Once your chicken is shredded add in your cream of chicken and sour cream and mix it all together
- Next crush up your ritz crackers and spread them over the casserole
- Lastly, melt half a stick of butter then pour it over the casserole and put it in the oven for 25 minutes
